THE MAKING OF ASHUR

An animated short inspired by an Assyrian king and his encounter with a lion.

Ashur is being created from the ground up in Blender, bringing an ancient Assyrian world into 3D.

From modelling the king and his clothing to creating detailed hair, environments, every element is built specifically for the film. Blender's particle and grooming tools are being used to create realistic hair and fur, while materials, lighting and animation bring the characters and world together.
